A trip to Dickens World in
Chatham. A really delicious 2 course lunch and tea or coffee sets
us up for a “thrilling, chilling, fun packed journey around Dickensian
England.” This indoor visitor attraction celebrates one
of the all-time great writers who made this part of the country world
famous. It is situated near a discount shopping outlet and next to a
cinema - so you could make a day of it! |

So that you are fighting
fit to tackle all the good lunches and dinners we have lined up for,
here is more exercise for us. A late afternoon circular walk
beginning in the little square in Elham, south east Kent. Our
experienced guides takes us through some lovely countryside in the
Elham valley and brings us back in time for a welcome drink and three
course dinner, followed by tea or coffee in the village square inn. Approximately
4 miles, mostly flat. |

A gently undulating walk through the National Trust parkland
of Scotney Castle, just under 5 miles, leads us back to The Brown Trout. This
is a friendly, traditional pub overlooking oast houses and the rolling
